Clinical Operations Professional

Position Overview

We are currently seeking to expand our network of team members to lead and support client projects. Our projects are well suited for candidates who have pharmaceutical industry experience with a deep understanding of GCP.  Candidates need to have a thorough understanding of new regulatory requirements for proactive risk management inclusive of sponsor obligations for oversight of service providers.

An ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge of clinical research, with expertise in relevant specialty areas such as quality systems, risk management, outsourcing models, effective oversight, clinical operations and change management.  They have the ability to review and edit leading practices and documents to match ICH E6 (R2) and other regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidates must be self-driven with a sense of urgency and have the ability to work effectively and independently in a virtual company environment.  The ability to manage client expectations look at issues through a business development lens is preferred.

 

Requirements:

  • He or she will have a proven track record of successfully adding value to client teams
  • Experience working in a senior role in CRO/Pharmaceutical industry or as a consultant in the industry

Client Delivery Associate

Position Overview

We are currently seeking to expand our Client Delivery team. He or she will have a deep understanding of clinical trials and GCP. Our Client Delivery team members are experienced industry professionals who are able to manage complex projects with clients. An ideal candidate can adapt to different needs, communication styles and business processes of the client, while adhering to internal Avoca standards.  Candidates may have expertise in relevant specialty areas such as quality systems, risk management, outsourcing models, effective oversight, clinical operations.

In this role, primarily the candidate will be responsible for managing projects across all research, consulting and AQC. They will provide project management oversight to internal and external projects to ensure client deliverable timelines are on track and assist the Lead Consultants with producing client ready deliverables. This Client Delivery associate will be expected to identify risks and remove obstacles that could hinder reaching project goals and escalate these issues as appropriate. This role reports to the Executive Director of Client Delivery and will collaborate with a variety of team members including project managers, consultants, marketing and business development.

VP of Client Development

Position Overview

The Avoca Group is currently seeking a candidate to fill a leadership role in Client Development. S/he will have a strong understanding of drug development, specifically clinical development/clinical trials, and the ability and confidence to interact at the senior executive (e.g. VP to C-Suite) level. Candidates will possess a strong entrepreneurial nature and innate resourcefulness to identify, target and engage clients individually and with their team.  S/he will need to utilize strong relationship management skills to attract new accounts and expand positions within existing accounts across all Avoca business lines including Consortia membership, consulting and quality assurance services. The ideal candidate will proactively seek to understand the needs of prospective Consulting and Research clients to in order to provide them with the optimal mix of services to enable their success.

 

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will also:

  • Have a personal network in the pharmaceutical and CRO industry
  • Possess excellent decision making/problem solving skills with a proven track record
  • Embrace teamwork, establishing effective working relationships and building trust with customers and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Understand current and future industry trends that could impact the company
  • Have a strong presence with outstanding written and oral communication skills, including presentation to large audiences
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills including the ability to effectively communicate, inspire and operationalize new ideas with clients
  • Work independently and collaborate with a team in a virtual environment
  • Be available to travel as required (assume up to 50% travel)
  • A minimum of 7+ years’ experience working in a consultative selling role; preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Hold a minimum of a BA/BS in a scientific or business discipline

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
