ACRP and the Avoca Quality Consortium Announce 2018 Quality Congress in Conjunction with the ACRP 2018 Annual Meeting
Press Release – December 7, 2017
Washington, DC – The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and the Avoca Quality Consortium™ (AQC) will host the first-ever ACRP-AQC Quality Congress in conjunction with ACRP 2018.
The 2018 Quality Congress will kick off the leadership track at ACRP 2018, the premier education and networking event for clinical research professionals (https://2018.acrpnet.org/).
Scheduled for Friday, April 27, the 2018 Quality Congress is a full-day education and networking program focused on improving clinical trial quality in a changing clinical trial landscape.
The event will bring together senior management teams from sponsors, CROs, and sites to explore practical strategies for inspection preparedness, quality oversight, ICH E6 (R2), and holistic quality management systems, among other topics.
“We are thrilled to partner with AQC in bringing together the innovators across all levels of the clinical research workforce to drive quality and efficiency in clinical trials,” says Jim Kremidas, ACRP Executive Director. “Our organizations are strategically aligned in our desire to improve quality in clinical research, and we are excited to showcase the impact of collaboration during our annual meeting.”
“Avoca is equally excited to partner with ACRP on the 2018 Quality Congress” says Patricia Leuchten, CEO of The Avoca Group. “When Jim and I first spoke about a collaboration between our organizations, the potential to break down silos between sponsors, CROs and sites was a key driver for our work together. The 2018 Quality Congress is in keeping with this and will offer participants the opportunity to collaborate with each other in a meaningful way and to engage in a dialogue about transformational approaches to improving clinical research quality.”
Today’s news follows an announcement in August 2017 of a strategic partnership between ACRP and The Avoca Group to drive quality and collaboration in clinical research (read release).
